Timofey Mozgov

After the uncertainty of the outcome of the NBA lockout, Denver Nugget’s backup center and Russian native Timofey Mozgov returned to the club that he called home in 2006 to 2010. Mozgov signed a contract with Russian Team Khimky Moscow that would allow him to go back to the NBA once the lockout ends. Khimky plays in two Leagues, The Russian National League and the VTB United League where his team is in the same group as Ty Lawson’s Lithuanian club Zalgiris. This could be a great chance for Timofey to play more minutes than he would playing under coach George Karl and a one of a kind opportunity for Mozgov to further develop his skills while the NBA lockout persists.

Mozgov played a very effective role in the limited minutes that he played scoring 12 points and collecting 9 rebounds. Below are his stats for the game.
